Are
you new to club soccer and looking to get started? Are you
unhappy where you are currently and considering a change?
Are you concerned about the cost of club soccer? Or perhaps
you are just curious about our Club. Whatever the reason
may be, thanks for navigating to this page.
Valley United Soccer Club is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization and was founded in 1989 by joining
together of two local Clubs, the Granada Hills Soccer Club
and the Valley Pride. In 1991 the Club became its own League
of Registration known as the "Valley Youth Soccer League".
The Valley United Soccer Club has experienced an impressive
growth from its original seven to high of twenty eight teams.
In 1998 the club changed its direction to become a Premier
Club in the area. Today, Valley United Soccer Club is recognized
as one of the most successful clubs in the Boys and Girls
Divisions, competing in the Coast Soccer League.
Our
trademark is our style of play. We play ball possession
versus the common "kick and run" approach. Kick and run
may produce more wins in player's younger years, but it
does little to prepare them for play at top competitive
levels. While we do emphasize the importance of winning
games, long term player development comes first. Our emphasis
is on the development of fundamental skills which are the
foundation from which players can reach their potential
in the sport of soccer. Valley United Soccer Club has been
committed to the development of youth soccer since 1989.
We take pride in offering program where competitive players
get the training and experience to prepare themselves for
playing in High School, College, and beyond, and we continue
to produce champions and players that have gone on to play
at College levels and even at professional as well.
The
Club is continuing to exemplify its renown for developing
exceptional soccer talent represented by its ongoing tournament
success, capturing many prestigious titles. Since
the Club's inception, Valley United Soccer Club teams have
captured many major tournament championships, including
fourteen (14) State Cups titles, seven (7) Far West Regional Championships,
National Championship, National Finalists, and the NIKE World Championship.
Overview
Our
Club, although structured, allows each team's management
the freedom to operate independently, focusing on what will
benefit the players on their respective teams. Who will
coach, his compensation, how many and what tournaments the
team will attend are all your team's decisions. We are always
available to advise and assist whenever you require our
services. We will at times recommend certain tournaments
if we are able to obtain lower registration fees based on
several teams attending. We do provide practice fields for
your teams.
Our players participate in the Olympic
Development Program, and our club is known for producing
many players that have been selected and played on the State,
Regional, and National ODP teams. We maintain a comprehensive,
up to date website to give our players maximum exposure
as they progress and get closer to college recruiting time.
The Valley United Soccer Club is well respected among College
Coaches throughout the country having provided them with
many excellent players. Check out our Alumni page for an
impressive list of past Valley United players and the schools
they attended.
We insist that any member
of the Valley United Soccer Club represent our organization
with conduct that promotes our club's pride and a positive
attitude, and that they always conduct themselves in accordance
with the rules of USYSA and Cal South.
Communication
Communication
is done by emails and with monthly meetings. Every 3rd Monday
of each month we have a mandatory club meeting. We require
that each team have their manager and/or other representative
of the team attend. Meetings usually last no more then 90
minutes. They are very informative as there we discuss everything
that is important for your team to know to make season run
smoothly. We also keep you up to date on the latest news
in USYSA, Cal South, and Coast Soccer League. We educate
you on the College Recruiting process, explain to you how
it works, and quide you as to what must be done to maximize
your child's opportunities. Although, these meetings are
for the managers, we welcome, and in fact, encourage anyone
interested to attend.
Registration
We
are fortunate to have our own League of Registration. It
is called "Valley Youth Soccer League".
What this means to you is that you have a constant access
to your registrar (Gary Emerson). You are not limited to
certain hours or days; you have the availability to get
your paperwork done almost anytime. This saves you time,
long drives, repeated phone calls, and gives you instant
answers and solutions.
Club
Fees
Unlike
other clubs, we do not charge membership fees. Only
fees that are required are the player's registration fees
and the costs for purchasing unifoms, soccer bag,..etc.
Registration fees include addtional small charge which is used
to cover operational expenses such as telephone, fax machines,
postage, ...etc. Occasionally, you might be asked to pay
a small amount for the use of fields for league play. Training
fees vary and are set and managed by each individual team.
We know, should you decide to join us, that you will find
your experience of playing for the Valley United Soccer
Club very exciting as well as rewarding.
We
will gladly answer any additional questions or concerns
you may still have, just call or email us.
Sincerely
Valley United Soccer Club
